Molecular Materials for Sustainability and Human Health
Solving the pressing societal challenegs through cross-disciplinary applications of chemical knoweldge
Professor Lin's research focuses on the design and development of molecular materials
to tackle pressing challenges in sustainability and human health. Since 1997, his laboratory has pioneered the design of
nonlinear optical materials based on metal-oragnic frameworks (MOFs), catalytic MOFs for a wide spectrum of transformations, including asymmetric catalysis,
solar energy conversion, Earth-abundant metal catalysis, photoredox catalysis, and synergistic and biomimetic catalysis. More recently,
the Lin lab has developed innovative cancaer therapies based on MOFs and other molecular materials.
